Here. Still a few minor bugs in IE (technically "Beta" :D ), but it's pretty much done. All I have left is to finish the form. Any opinions, positive and negative are welcome.

The only thing that bothers me a bit is it's simplicity. I'm thinking about adding something to the top right corner area, but I'm just not sure what. I also know it's a bit content-heavy, but I really wanted to keep it as a 1 pager.

I like it. I think the background is a little distracting tho. Maybe reduce the contrast a bit?

Looking very professional!

Nice work. If I was a potential client I may want to know a few more detail in my opinion, like why I should choose your as my designer, testimonails perhaps. But very nice clean design.

As with all the stuff you've posted it's top quality, your graphics are always superb and look wonderful.

But your interface does jump outside the usual "links along the top & left side" style thats very common. I'm not saying this is a bad thing as you've clearly thought it out, my only suggestion is perhaps ad some next/previouse buttons for viewing your work as it does add extra clicks to select a sample, use the back arrow you've provided, then click another example.

But this is just a suggestion, I really do love the site ad it looks wonderful.

FYI to the kids just starting out in design, this is a good use of a dark background & light text!

Are you saying the text is too bright and the background is too dark? I would love to reduce the contrast between the text and background a bit, but then everything gets lost when looking at the site in windows on a crt. I don't even think you can see the background lines very well on most windows displays.

Thanks. Well as it isn't really a business, and more of a personal portfolio of a freelancer, I don't think those things are really necessary for me. I'd consider it if I was running an actual business like you are. And also, I'd like to think that my work can speak for itself. It's not the strongest portfolio at the moment, but I hope it will be in the future.

Thanks for the comments. I've had a few people tell me they wish there was another way to navigate through the work besides going back to the homepage, so I will be adding something to solve that issue.

The simplicity really makes your site! Don't take it away :(

I'm typically not a fan of dark designs, but more like yours could definitely change that. EXCELLENT design!!

If only some of the font was increased a tad, some of it is quite small here at work (1024x768).

Looks great, and the "verticalness" of it is something I really like.

Nice one, Mark - looking good. I too am more of a light-side (as opposed to dark side ;) ) kinda gal, but from what I've seen of your work the black n red/orange combo is very 'you', and you make it very clear and usable. I like. :)

I wrote a little script that changes the sites colors between a new 8am-6pm clean white and the already seen after-hour dark. :) I hope that will add a little "flair" to a somewhat simplistic website.

Nice idea! I'll have to check back later and see the light version. Of course now you have to make it so that it senses what country the viewer's looking at it from, and adjust it to their timezone...;)

Good call. I'll have to figure that out. :)

Edit* I did a search and it seemed a bit too complicated. Instead, I wrote a small script that shows the remaining time before the change takes place. It's in the about box under the "Dig Deeper" column.

Nice idea, although i think the darker one looks so much cooler than the light!

Also it's half 8 here in the uk but the design is still light.
maybe theres someway you can determine visitors timezones in the script too?

very cool unique idea though I love it.
