OK, this media event on Thursday, I think we might be looking at a bunch of smallish yet cool announcements, most of which have already been described but I think this is what's going to happen.

The Motorola iTunes phone - something half-decent looking, maybe 512MB storage on it, good sound quality.

Beatles catalogue on the iTMS - they're selling the Live8 performances of "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" and "Long and Winding Road" and whilst I know all the proceeds are going to charity, it may suggest that some sort of compromise has been reached.

iTMS Australia - because I just want it so very very much, c'mon apple, you've got to be close, oh and I'l be very magnanimous and ask for Neew Zulund too.

Why do people think it matters that Sgt. Pepper's is on the ITMS. McCartney has been on for a while now, but that doesn't mean the Beatles have been added. While Sgt. Pepper's was originally a Beatles tune, I don't think this live version has anything to do with the people who contol the original tracks.

It would be great to have the beattles on itunes, but i think apple corps, (, yes them , the guys who try to sue Apple Computer inc over everything they do related to music, sad sad sad , we all know who Apple Computer are, and no one will ever link them with having anything to do with the Beattles, but iPods firstly, and Macs secondly (unfortunately, in that order..)
)
will not let that happen, unless the above argument ge's settled first...

the Beatles would sell a shed load of songs on iTunes if they was on it

but yeah , new moto phone new ipod stuff and new music stores are a good guess

i say they are going to discontinue the iBook as they seem not to care about updating it -lol

the beatles catalogue isnt on-line anywhere. just the early, early (the silver beatles) stuff with tony sheridan. it probably wont be online until after the lawsuit.
