My problem with Keynote

I have one copy of keynote on my home computer, and it can be a great program! I love to catch people off guard when they think they are going to see just another powerpoint presentation. My problem is this... Although I have keynote at home, I don't have it at work. I know I can export to quicktime or powerpoint for my PCs, but is there a better way? Exporting to powerpoint looses some of the transitions. Exporting to quicktime seems to get a lower quality or a larger file size (not to mention no full screen QT at work).

I was thinking that apple (or someone) needs to put out a standalone keynote viewer for both platforms. Would this be easy for them to do? I was imagining a very stripped down version of keynote would do it.

Or... Does one already exist that I have yet to find?

I have been wanting to purchase Keynote for awhile now. Besides wanting to wait untill 2.0 I also am coming up against the same wall you hit, only geting from home to school. I don't have a laptop to connect to the various projectors we have to show a keynote presentation that I created from home. I agree that the option to export to Powerpoint sucks, and the Quicktime solution isn't one since most macs I come across do not have Pro to play in full screen and you cannot add programs to the schools servers. So a Keynote viewer would be great. One idea I would like to try is installing Keynote to my iPod and simply plug into any mac and start up Keynote that way. Keynote is wonderful! I have used it briefly to make some simple motion graphics for an iMove project, and it worked well, at least untill MOTION is released. Can't wait, but now Apple needs to make a 3D creation program like Maya & 3ds Max.

I think I read that Keynote was written in XML. They said thi would make it easy for 3rd parties to write plugins and other Keynote software. I assume this means a player would be easy to make?
