Hey guys,

As a recent Nikon FX to Sony mirrorless convert, I thought I'd share my experience with this new FF Sony over the last couple of months. You'll find a brief set of thoughts and small collection of select photos from my usage HERE!

I've grown to like the Sony, although it didn't start off that way. You'll find exif data and which lens I used in the title of each shot.

Thanks :)

Fantastic review. I moved from Canon to A7 mk1 two years ago for reasons of portability. I love my A7 but the A7Rii fixed a few niggles I have had with it. I shoot a combination if native Zeiss glass and some Leica gems. Your pictures are fabulous and may have just convinced me that i should get the r2...

Thanks for posting.

Lol... yes, key step on the path to a cure, acceptance.... I have this thought process whereby if I get the BEST equipment, then the only doubt that can be left is my ability to use it... therefore if I get the best, then I can isolate me being the weak link... and I can in theory then start to fix that... ;-)

That sounded convincing in my head and usually works for me handing over my hard earned savings in camera shops...

You've convinced me!

Can I join you in your camera shop visit?

Very glad you are enjoying your Sony camera experience. I admit I am in another camp (Fuji) but always happy when people love which ever camera they get.

Thanks for sharing your images.

Oh god don't let Kenoh see this threa......too late.

;)

Pmsl, I have GAS so bad it hurts!!!

I could cry... Have to keep telling myself my A7 is good enough for me... Because if I get one of these, I then need a new MacBook to process those lovely crispy new images... Those gorgeous stabilised low iso low noise images, those moody, painterly scenes... That I am too artistically challenged to get today... How do you do drooly smileys on here?

I thought that my man flu was bad today but your GAS is on another level mate :)

Having said that I bought myself a Surface Pro 3 last week so that I can Lightroom on the go. GAS takes many forms apparently.

A little fiddly but the pen really helps. Especially when touching up areas of a picture. Much better than having to use an iPad mini though that's for sure.

Yep much better... And I do like the angle you can set it at, very easy angle for pen work.

What it does share with an ipad is how much it hurts when it falls on your face when you fall asleep reading on it at night... Dropped it on my face first night i had it.... Oops.... :)

Thank you! Short, but to the point I think. My thoughts are: camera is perfect for non-pros. For pros, it depends on what and how you'll be using it.
