I was reading through a PDF and click a link in the document. However instead of lunching safari which is my default browser it lunched Explorer. I haven’t used Explorer in quite awhile so I was surprised this happened. Anyways the next time I click safari from my Dock, it bounced once then stopped. The browser never lunched nor did the triangle even show up under the icon in the Dock. I tried lunching it right from the application folder but the same thing happened. Finally I just trashed it from the application menu and took it out of my dock. I download it again but ever time it lunches it crashes immediately. What’s going on? Is it possible that it’s related to the PDF opening in IE ?

I suggest removing Safari preference files and then launching Safari again.

OK, where do i find that ? I searched for it but didn't find anything

You want to go into your library then go into preferences and deleted Safari Tabs prefernece and delete
PHP:
com.apple.Safari.plist
And deleted that, if not a re-download and restart should do the job.
