Are you doing any post processing?
Interesting. I'm surprised by the saturation and contrast.Nope. Straight on the iPhone X. Slight crops for straightening a few of the photos.
The iPhone X has new algorithms for its treatment of photo's and improved sensors. As much as I was surprised by the quality improvement of my 8 plus over my old 6, I have to shoot in RAW with a third party app and then edit the images to get these sort of results.Interesting. The Portrait Mode used on the snake and the bird photo's still has some issues in blurring bits that shouldn't be blurred, but if you don't look closely it's pretty impressive!
The lower part of the front orchid is blurred, the end of the birds beak is blurred, a lower section of the snake and some of the twigs are also blurred when they shouldn't be. I reckon they will improve on this sort of thing over time through updates though.
Took this photo from my couch of my dog with the iPhone X . This picture really impressed me as it was pretty low light conditions. Taken in portrait with stage light effect.
