i wanted to get detailed info on my imac but when i try this site or similar sites it says serial not found ... is that normal???

http://www.appleserialnumberinfo.com/Desktop/index.php

how can i get more info on my imac? like which week it was made etc...

serial dose show up on mac repair info page(apple.com) where i can see my iMac has 11 months left for warranty , so its in apple's database.

That's 3rd party site so... ;)

The week is the third and fourth numbers of the serial e.g. Wxx12xxxxxxxx means that it was made on week 12.

Could be a bug in their system or maybe they just don't have info for your iMac model somehow, I don't know. You can send email and ask
