My site designs please evaluate

The title needs to be centred or the content on the left side of the page needs to be up further. Their is a nasty gap.

Also the links are not clear on your menu, maybe when you scroll over the images they can display text?

Apart from that it's nice, not my style, but I not your target audience :)
 
there is method to the madness lol, the big space is for the logo witch im still in the middle of drawing.
 
Try to get a consistent and complementary color palette. The 2nd site is hideous only from a color standpoint. And the rounded corners are a bit much....



The first site..........what can I say, its a blog. Nothing spectacular, and the top rollover imagemap or w/e, is HUGE, and loads slowly, plus it looks out of place.

I assume this was a blog template? Ive yet to really see an "original-design" blog, then again, I dont go looking.

As a blog, its one of the nicer layouts though.

Yeah, I agree. I'd personally tone the colours down quite a bit. There are plenty of colour scheme websites that suggest combinations.
 
so the mockup is good except for the colours well thats fine they were never the final colours just the ones i had to come up quick wile i was working on it, the actual colour pallet will be form the shop.

the first site is not ment to be a blog but more a community for like minded people to mingle, i have been told the navigation icons need to have a text over but never that they were to big so this is something i will look into, and of course i need to get the them of that site a lot closer to completion. The theme is called zen, basically its a empty canvas and i built the current incarnation on top of it.
 
i'm by no means a web designer, but....

i rather like the design of the 2nd site (the coffee one). i even like the font choices, though i fear the "body text" one (that says bla bla bla about 1000 times) may be difficult to read.

the only other thing that jumps out is "Extablished".


will you be doing the coffee one in drupal, as well?
 
the coffee shop design wont be using durpal its to simple a site to require that but a lot of its design will go into my main site.
 
I like the mock up with one exception...the colors. I can see the look that you are striving towards, but the neon-blue is a bit harsh with the browns. This site has many color schemes for inspiration ..http://kuler.adobe.com/
