Ive started to get the following message displaying on my screen...

So is this saying that my hard drive is full, or is the start up disc something else? I have 7gb of free space on my hard drive.

Your start up disc is the drive you boot from, typically your internal hard drive.

You should aim for a minimum of 10-20% free to give the OS some working room without issuing the space warning.
