I was sitting on my desk, phone is on the desk, unlocked, I'm not using it, and telegram was open. Suddenly the phone posted a picture to Telegram, at first I thought it was the other party, since I wasn't doing anything. Then I check and it's me who posted the picture, and what's the picture, what my front camera sees at that moment, in a circular crop.

I'm on the latest iOS, my phone is not jailbroken, is this phone hacked?

Have you seen it do that on any other app besides Telegram? Could be a bug within the Telegram app, or something that had occurred on their end if you have only seen this issue within that service.

My Telegram took a picture of some lady’s gorgeous legs on the subway. My wife was not pleased. They were her legs. I may have bumped something. ;)
Yes but I wasn't touching the phone, so "accidental action" is not possible.

No, this is the first time I saw my phone acting on its own.

Yep, going to do that and I also reported this to Apple's Security and Privacy team, and to Telegram support as well.
While I cannot contribute anything substantial, it would be great, if you could keep us updated. I am very interested in how all of this turns out. Thank you!
