...in one word, amazing.

The other day I plugged my earphones into my new mac [bought September] and heard nothing but a fuzz. After all the usual problem solving you could think of I realised that the output Jack was broken. I was gutted. Nevermind I thought, a new Apple store has just opened at the Lakeside shopping centre, which is only 20 minutes down the road to me.

After booking an online appointment with a 'genius' I went to the store, which is a beauty marvel in itself. I was seen exactly at the time quoted to me, the guy was really nice and did the tests I had already done. He promptly said it needed to be fixed, and with luck he would get it done for me by Sunday! The only question asked was when I bought it. I can't believe they actually fix products in the stores behind the scenes.

Well needless to say, I am impressed. I also got to play with the iTouch and iPhone which I am desperate for! I can't believe I struggled for years with PC's.:)

Have you been to the Bluewater store, is Lakeside larger or smaller? I often go down the M25 and am tempted to pop in to Lakeside to see what its like.

With the OP coming from Essex England I think he means (and hope so after my reply) Lakeside not too far from London (ish)

Not sure which is larger, they're both about the same size, IIRC. Bluewater might be slightly larger. Lakeside in general is really not the best, it's pretty chavtastic most times. Bluewater is much nicer overall.

Where is this UK or US if its UK then I dont know where that is because I live in the US
the original poster has a location of "essex, england" figured that might give it away. a quick google might have done too if you were that interested. in case it's still not clear, yes, this is an apple store in a shopping centre in the UK.
