hello thanks for looking...

my iPhone is finishing its 18 month contract in afew days.

I don't use it much, 15 txt a day, 1-2 phone calls a day. So i thought rather than paying O2 £35/month why not unlock it?

The phone was bought in Feb 2008 and has just been updated with 3.0 and is a Model mb213b.

There's alot of advice out here, is it as easy as pluging my iPhone into my Mac and using purplera1n?

Can anyone recommend a PAYG plan?

I would like to keep my o2 number.

Will i be able to use iTunes as before?

Thank you in advance...

Kind regards

dude once your 18 month contract is up..just ring o2 up and tell them that you want to go pay as you go and they have no choice except to do that for you.

i have a pay as you go ifone and o2 are the ones who have all the rights to it in the uk but im pretty sure that you can just change it over to a newtwork
o2 will have to supple you with puk code..its all in o2 court cos you have done nothing wrong once.its simple as your contract as run out and u dont want to renew it,,so just tell them and yes u can use itunes just as normal

The easy way is just to ask O2 Customer Services to change you onto a PAYG plan, which they will do. No hassle with SIMS, unlocking or anything. You lose visual voice mail but not much else.

It's even a free call from your phone :D
