Prior to the update my volume was set to max when using the phone .When making a call this morning I noticed my ear volume was at 75%.....If placed at 100% its way tooooo LOUD...This is not wishful thinking on my part, but settings on volume has changed with my update. I also tried out the speaker phone with voice mails...ALOT LOUDER! Prior to the update I could barley hear the voice on one message, now its loud and clear

Added note...

I always thought the speaker volume was loud enough when making calls and now just an added boost.

If we can get iPhoneInterface working again, we can check the "SystemSoundMaximumVolume.plist" file and check for sure if the volume limits have been increased.

Unfortunately, I believe I read last night that the update killed iPhoneInterface. :(

EDIT: Nevermind the iPhoneInterface being broken. After just checking the Dev Wiki, looks like the newer versions of iPhoneInterface are not broken after all! I'll get this volume plist when I get home and see if the defaults have changed.

not sure

My boyfriend and I each have an iPhone. He did the update first last night. We selected the same songs and turned the volume up all the way. He played his and then I played mine. We did not notice a difference in volume between his that was updated and mine that had not been updated yet.

From my experience I have noticed that the call volume seems to be louder and better when the reception on my phone is better. The better the signal I have the better the quality of the call volume.

OK. I'm experiencing something completely different. Don't know if it's my imagination or ...?

I thought that when playing music I had a stereo effect. Sound equally coming from bottom speakers and top (earpiece).

Now it's only coming from the bottom and only the left side, at that. If I put my ear to earpiece I hear some sound but at very low volume. Nothing coming out of right side on the bottom.

Did I imagine the stereo effect or did it change...or did it change only on mine?

Yes you imagined it because the right side is the microphone.
