I figured out how to set up a web gallery. Mainly I'll use this to upload/share iPhone pictures. The sample (3 photo) gallery is at http://gallery.mac.com/carmanj for those interested.
For those having issues, the important - but not intuitive - step is to check the box that says "allow post by email" or something like that. You need that boxed checked to be able to send from the iPhone's Photo app.
I haven't read the manual yet, so maybe it's in there. But the phone directs you to the .mac website and it's NOT on there, and the Help function was useless.
The kicker is, the 'send to gallery' option basically just opens a regular email, with the photo attached. And you can post the email address to the gallery on your gallery web page.
Based on that last tidbit of info, if anyone is interested I'm willing to open a public gallery on my .mac account for 24-48 hours, so people can get a feel for how posting to the gallery works. Email me if interested at carmanj-at-mac-dot-com and I'll share the email address.
[NOTE: If you do participate, the standard common sense rules apply: No porn, no copyrighted material, no spam, nothing illegal or rude or defamatory, etc.]
