Either I missed a whole section of your website or what is it for?

um click picture to enter, click photography, click thumbnails to see my photos...

? maybe needs a UI overhaul?

A Web site that takes more than 15 seconds to load the front page on a 56 kpbs connection isn't good. If you want to post a bandwidth-sucking animation or other junk on the front page, there should be a link labelled "Skip intro". I got the huge image, which must be scrolled in my window, downloaded to your repeating of the Web site address, and quit trying to get the page downloaded. You need to put some plain text information on the front page so that users aren't bewildered.

I agree. "Skip Intro" is a great idea. It loaded fast for me (because I am on a fast connection now), but when I am at home a lot of these personal/.mac websites take forever to load.

I do like the colors and layout. One of the photos shows up as a broken link. But Keep working on it :)

You may want to add some music to your websites. It will make them much funner to look at.

I like the site but am on a fast connection. Maybe try to slim down file size of the intro image, but I definitely wouldn't get rid of it.

The site is nice......
but very slow. I have a very fast internet connection and it loaded up in dial-up speed.

Overall very nice work but a bit slow as others have already stated.

Two suggestions...

I would highly recommend learning about image optimization and preparation for the web. Some of your images are extremely large in resolution and appear to have little to no compression added to them. Also consider using gifs where you have images of few colors, saving jpgs for full color images only.

My other suggestion would be to do away with any images that contain text and to replace them with straight web text. images that contain text can't be read by search engines and as a result will exclude you from ever being found by searches. Also learn about alt names and how to put title tags into your images so that search engines can pick up on them too (this process could also work with your titles vs replacing them with web text).

I make both of these suggestion only because I feel that you have something nice here and would hate to see it get overlooked because either due to lack of attention because of long loads or simply due to the work not being searchable.

Hopefully that makes sense... so very tired, long day at work zzzzzzz.

You might want to use this awsome LightBox JavaScrit to view your images. I have used it, and it is really easy to implement in already existing web site.

I really like how the gallery thumbs have been clipped. Only problem I noticed was no apparent way to get back to main page or navigate across sections once you enter "about" or that other section (can't recall what it was).
