So the proximity sensors can show through the white coating.

I didnt do the work myself, I had someone on ebay do it for me. I figured for the extra $50 it was worth having someone who knew what they were doing convert it.

And yes the dots are the sensor.

Have you tried a pic with the rear camera and flash yet? Does the flash (or ambient light) bleed into the photo?

I have an I dont see much of a difference between this one and photos from when it was black. If you want Ill give you the link to where I got it done, I paid $225 and that included parts and service.

Interesting. I wouldn't have payed so much for it though as it voids any warranties and I'm not a big fan of white either.

Thanks, I haven't had a problem yet though and I've had it for a little over 2 months. I get asked questions all the time about it everyones like " is that a white iPhone?" and I'm like yeah and they go " do you work for apple?". It's a good conversation piece if nothing else.

Yes, all the time, but it's nothing that a brillo pad can't handle.

Not really but you do have to wipe it down every once in a while because it does pick up more dirt than the black one. But not to the point that it changes colors or anything.

I must say that actually looks pretty good. Definitely better than the white 3G(s). It actually looks like it came that way, which is pretty impressive for whoever did that.
