Hello,

I manage to install windows xp x64 edition in my new mac book pro. I did not encounter any problems during the installation. After installing finding the drivers was a major issue. For the graphic card, I use the 64bit 8600 GT drivers and install them manually (not via setup). For the SM Bus driver, I use the intel 965 chipset driver. Audio vise, I downloaded the realtek hd drivers which worked fine. For the Ethernet driver, I use the marvell Yukon 64bit driver. The majority of the driver issue was almost over.
Now I have 3 more components that need a driver. First is the isight, I am aware that there is not drivers for it at the moment, is there any generic driver??

The second is the wireless Ethernet. Although I manage to find the driver (Atheros AR5xxxx Series Driver 7.3.1.5 whql) after install, I get a yellow explanation mark at the device and at one of the usb hub also.

The third is the Bluetooth. I know there is none. (maybe??) i wonder What chipset it is using ??

I hope someone can advise me where can I get the most suitable driver for my wireless.

Thanks alot

have you had any luck with finding wireless drivers? I think that would be one of the major set backs for people from using a 64bit edition of windows on their mac

I haven't tried it myself yet, but I just put xp64 on my Mac Pro and I've read that you can install a Dell wireless driver. I can't find the link right now but I think it's called "r140747.exe"

Good luck~

It's a nightmare to be perfectly honest! It's such a fight to get anything working, I gave in and went 32 and used the Boot Camp disc for all the drivers.

I'll live with XP not recognising more than 2GB (?) ram... won't be upgrading to any more than that for a while anyway. By the way I couldn't get that damn Dell wireless driver to work! I scoured Google for help on the issue all night.

Check Airport in your system profiler under OSX and see what it's running... might have some luck there. All the best!
