Ok. So I have successfully updated to iOS 5 on both my iPhone 4 and my iPad 2. Now my e-mail will not push to either device. I use Yahoo! Mail and that is the only account I use. Never had this problem before. I have tried to delete and set up accounts on both devices to no success. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm having the same issue, however with only one of my two yahoo accounts.
My main account seems frozen at September 21. It will start to download "1 of 73" emails but stop and never download them. It'll then cycle on and off "checking for mail" for a few minutes, then nada.
Deleting account and reinstalling doesn't work.
Other yahoo account works fine.

Strange, I had the same issue but I deleted my Yahoo mail account, turned off iCloud mail, and then setup Yahoo again. Works perfectly now.
I can't get my yahoo mail to successfully forward to iCloud... Thinking about just ditching Mail in iCloud....
I am having this same problem when I am using Google Sync via Exchange on the iPhone. I am not sure really what to do but I think it's an issue that my iCloud account is my AppleID which is my gmail account. I also have a MobileMe account I need to move to iCloud.

I seem to have figured it out based on a previous recommendation. I removed my Google Exchange account. Restarted the phone added it back again. Everything seems to be working great.
I am having the same problem with hotmail.
There is no option to 'push' only 'fetch' which I have set to 15mins.
Weird thing is that my iPhone is picking up emails with a minute or two of them being sent yet the iPad wont get them unless I go into the mail app and it looks for updates!

I've been fighting with this since last night and have tried just about everything, including a restore from the backup prior to upgrade and deleting my iCloud account. I also have two Yahoo accounts and one works fine, but the other doesn't download mail after 9/13 and push doesn't work with it. I finally deleted all accounts, added back the yahoo that wasn't working, it still didn't work, so I deleted and re-added it and now I have current email; not just email from 9/13 and back. However, when I sent a new email message to it, it takes a while and says Checking for Mail and doesn't get the new message. Once it said Downloading 1 of 1 but then didn't download it. When it was only download from 9/13 back, it sometimes said Downloading 1 of 84 and got up to 3 and quit, then would say No New Mail upon subsequent checks. Someone please figure this out!
Update: After doing all of this, I restarted it and push seems to be working. I added back the other Yahoo account, as well as my Exchnage account and everything is working on all of them, including push. Good luck to all!
Deleted my yahoo account, re set iphone then set it up again....it appeared to of worked last night and worked overnight but right now? nothing coming through...seems it works sometimes but not all the time.
I have not upgraded my VZ iPhone 4 yet. I also use yahoo email, so am interested in seeing how this plays out before I do upgrade. I keep putting it off based on all the issues I have seen posted. I am also wondering if I reset back to factory specs so the phone is the same as when it came out of the box 4 months ago, then upgrade, if it will make the upgrade smoother.
ThInk ive fixed it now, I added a me.com email account switched mail on and push now works for yahoo...thank god
