Does anyone know anything about this service?
For a $49.95 lifetime membership fee they claim to provide unlimited downloads of books for the iPad. They include bestsellers and comics and more. Sounds too good to be true... I googled for reviews but did not come up with independent sources, only reviews associated with MyPad Media.

STAY AWAY. I almost bought into it, but I found a blog post describing it as a complete fraud. Bear in mind that Tom Sawyer is most probably a best seller. All you'll get is stuff that is in the public domain.

I'll edit this with the exact link to the blog post in a while.

Edit: Here's the URL. It was easy to find a couple of weeks ago, but now, I think Mypad media has flooded the Internet with fake, positive reviews, because the only way I could find this link was to go through my browsing history.

To wrap it up, here's a goodie from aforementioned site: "First let’s revisit the fact that myPadMedia threatened legal action if we did not remove our posts regarding their company. "

Great, now I'm going to get in trouble for this post as well =(

Darn, I was hoping to find lower cost books than iBookstore or Amazon.
Thanks for the reply.

Edit to add: And thanks for the link. Clearly a company to stay away from.
