We seem to have a fix for this problem -- one of the wonderful online mac helpers found a small glitch in the online generated code, and that may have been the problem, or at least some of it. We still have the issue we're looking into on whether we would be better using Firefox or another browser rather than Safari. Safari still isn't downloading correctly for us, but we were able to view the site correctly in another browser on the mac. So hopefully that's it!
Thankyou to all who've helped -

-------------------------------------------

We have created a great MySpace Music profile using the MyGen Generator.
However, everyone we know who has a Mac computer is not able to get the graphics/pics, the tiled background image, or any of the added scrolling text, colors, etc. We created it on a PC, and everyone who has a PC IS able to view all the correct graphics and details.
On the mac w/Safari the MySpaceM background comes up with the blah gray & white MySpace default background, not any of the embellishments or uploaded pics or graphics. (Text is viewable, but some of it is skewed....)

Is this something that may be an issue with the generator we used, or more likely with the OS (Safari V.2.0.4 419.3)?
Are there any settings in Safari that we can try to see if that will allow us to view all the images correctly (firewall, etc.)? Last resort, what would be another possible operating system to try that would allow MySpace to be viewed on the mac?

I have researched and have come up stumped. Anything at all you can suggest to try to make this viewable for all - MACs and PCs - would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks very much for any help -
Karen

Can you upload a snapshot of what it's suppose to look like. It looks the same with Firefox and Safari for me. I may have found a problem in the CSS code, but not sure. It's horrible trying to sort through MySpace code.

The possible problem:
Within the .mygen CSS selector,
background-image:url(http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z28/michaelallenharr ison/MAHWallPortrait.jpg);

Notice the space that really shouldn't be there. This may or may not be the problem, but I'm pretty sure it's tied to MyGen stuff on the page.

Edit: I used Firefox's Web Developer toolbar to try my fix and that indeed fixed the problem. Gotta love them typos.

I'm having the same problem with that image.

The page works just fine in FireFox short of the background. IE for some reason places the background in properly still. :rolleyes:
