Hi there, first time Mac owner and recent lurker here.

I'm sorry if this has already been addressed, but I've looked in several places and am still unsure of which version of MySQL to install on the new MacBook Pro.

I understand there is a universal binary version. On the Apple support site, one person says it is this: mysql-standard-5.0.15-osx10.4-powerpc.dmg Pardon my lack of experience / ignorance, but doesn't powerpc imply that it is not of the newer universal binaries?

I have Apache and PHP configured and working, I just need to get MySQL in there now. Can anyone please recommend the right version?

Thank you for your time.
