Mystery document

OMG a word document appeared on my desktop i dont know how but it is scary as some one put it there I dont know how thoug is there any way to find out???

File>Get Info; then click the triangle next to 'More Info' will tell you where it was downloaded from if it was d/ld from the internet...

Ah thats cool, 'More Info' is always minimized and I never really gave it much attention, its neat that it actually tells the web address it came from and even the browser I used depending on the file. Thanks for the tip.
