Bout two days ago a mystery BT signal appeared in my house. I realized after a bit that it’s also a unsecured WiFi signal and I can’t find anything helpful online about it so I’m wondering if anyone can shed some light as to maybe what kind of device is it, or what it is?

SmartStream x22d9 Google

Again it’s both an open wifi and a Bluetooth signal!!
The only other info I can give is the UUID on it is FEA0 and it has upwards of 38 characteristics most of which are trust certificate keys and one which lists a couple nearby wifi signals that I’ve noticed change slightly from one day to this day. And it references frequency level, bssid that is just all zeros along.

I’m concerned because something keeps overtaking our network and not sure if this could be related. Also my husbands iPhone is constantly syncing to port 62078 iPhone sync that he claims to not have a clue about.

I don’t know how to translate the information my BT scanner is giving I only use it to locate missing headphones etc. but I notice on this device the MAC for our soundbar Comcast is listed amount the 38 characteristics.

Did a random Google search, it might be a WiFi unit for connected pool/spa speakers. Maybe someone in your neighborhood just installed one?

And I’m not sure how it can overtake your network. Just to be safe, change the password of your WiFi router.

According to this, it's a wifi-enabled smart speaker from Altec Lansing:

Thank you, we do have two Altec speakers but I wasn’t aware they had WiFi enabled on them. And my fiancé keeps them in the garage. So interesting to know….. makes sense now why one day I was able to hear his truck through the speaker and when I asked he just shrugged his shoulders as if he had no idea.

Sounds like as if you can connect to our home gateway and because you can daisy chain these if he has one in the living room and one in the garage technically you could listen to what’s in the living room through the garage speaker. And say if you had Google and they were utilizing Google chrome cast for the technology to daisy chain to each other you could essentially listen while away from home? Is this possible? Sorry if I’m using the wrong verbiage just trying to get an idea of something. Because I know there is something in our home “spying” on me but I haven’t been able to locate it.
