Hi all -
So I've looked online and asked a few iPhone SE users/friends this and haven't got an answer so here goes:

Am I right in thinking that the only way to stop sounds like the camera shutter click and whatsapp voice record 'ding' is to switch the phone to MUTE (button on the left of the body)?

This seems a bit ridiculous to me. What do I do if I want the phone to ring when someone phones me BUT no other sounds at all (no notifications 'bings', no messages 'buzz', no camera 'click', nada.)

Any help with this appreciated so I don't have to keep switching MUTE on/off on a permanent basis.

Well, for notifications at least you can configure settings for different apps so that there is no sound used for them--but that is more on a per-app basis and would apply all the time until you changed it. Or alternatively you can use Do Not Disturb set up to allow calls through--the downside there is that you won't see the visual notification alerts either.

Most people flush the toilet just as you take the image so that the person in stall next to you does not hear the camera sound. ;)

Thanks for replying. Do not Disturb has no impact on camera sounds and bleep when recording audio. There Doesn’t seem to be any way of switching off all sounds except the phone ring. Also there is no way to turn off the camera shutter noise within the app and/Or the bleep noise when I record audio on WhatsApp within the app again. My only option at the moment is to mute the iPhone on the left and turn on vibrate for calls.

Does anyone else have any idea how to switch off all sound effects on the phone except for the phone call ring?
