MyWi alternative for Android?

I loved the MyWi app on my Jailbroken iPhones. Used it a lot to create a free hotspot for my Macbook Pro and iPad (wifi only model). Because my AT&T data is unlimited, I'm restricted from using the tethering mode on my new Galaxy S4. Any suggestions / ways around this?

PdaNet+. Google it and download from their site. The free version is restricted to 20gb before it turns itself off IIRC, but you can buy the license and get unlimited.

Whoa. First time I've seen THAT on Google Play! Thanks though.

USB tethering for Mac OS X and Bluetooth tethering for Android 4.x tablets.

No mention of wireless tethering for OS X and/or iOS. I'll give it a shot and report back. Thanks.

LOL...thus the reason I said to Google it and install from their website. That's what "sideloading" is. It's installing something that's not available on one of the app stores.

Visit their website from your browser on your phone...download directly to the phone...when it's finished, tap on the notification in the notification pulldown...and install. (Note: you need to have "Unknown sources" checked under Settings>Security in order to sideload applications.)

I would like to know this as well. The last I remember, AT&T had a way of tracking if tethering was being used. If so, they could add it to your plan. If there is an "Untraceable" method, I would love to hear about it.

Found a great solution via XDA developers. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2270245

No root or mod needed. Just found out about this myself and it works flawless.

The app I use is mainly for File browsing, but I've noticed with the new version is has the ability to turn on Tethering and by-pass the carrier check (on AT&T at least).

No system file modification needed.

Simply go to:
Menu -> Tools -> Net Manager
