N card in a Mac Mini?

I'm fully aware the current Mini's have G wireless cards in them.
If they update the Mini, what are the chances the new N cards will slide right in? Are there any N cards on the market that fit in the Mini?

I realize that I know nothing about the state of the wireless card in the Mini. Hopefully it's not soldered to the board or something stupid. It is just a stand alone card, right? Please tell me it is

I am about to install an "N" Airport Express for this same purpose ... cheaper that the QuickerTek approach. (Delivered today by fedex.)

im sure there is because isnt there some notebooks that use "N" cards? if im not mistaken the mini uses notebook components.

An Airport express?
You mean plug it in by ethernet to the Mini, and broadcast an N network via your internet connection with another N device? Humm, that would work too. And I really have no need for the ethernet jack as far as a network goes.

I am using the Airport Express to convert all the systems in my office to the 5Ghz "N". Currently, I have a Buffalo AirStation that runs as a ProxySTA and connects a Dell Laptop, the Mac Mini, an HP Laserjet 2600n, and a Motion Computing tablet to my home wireless "G" network. The laptop and Mini are connected this way because I do a lot of data transfer between the two and wired is way, way faster. I added an Apple TV and the transfer rate on the "G" network is too slow for HD content ... I am getting stutters. So, I am upgrading to have a 5Ghz "N" network in parallel with the existing 2.4Ghz "G" network. (Linksys has just started making a wireless router with two active radios that does this with one box.)

The Express will be connected to a Netgear 10/100 5 port switch ... so, the ethernet jack on the mini will be my high speed access ...

Too bad the Express does not have a Gig port ... that would allow me to max out the local transfers.

The airport extreme "n" card from the macbook works in the mini...I tried it. The only problem is that the mini only has one internal wifi antenna. It works if you connect it to antenna "0," but it won't really have too much benefit without at least 2 antennas. I'm sure you could hack two more antennas in if you are so inclined.
