N card wireless reception

I have read plenty of posts here on wireless reception but many are old and I am wondering about the difference with wireless N between the MB and MBP. Is N strong enough to negate any real world noticeable reception? Also I was wondering if anyone had or knew where I could get some numerical comparisons between MB and MBP as far as reception/distance. I spend most of my time about 30 feet (straight line) from my router through about 3 walls in my house. I am really stuck on this MBP vs. MB thing and honestly poor reception from this distance would probably be a deal breaker for the MBP. Ideally I would want at least 100 feet of 100% reception (could go in the backyard and other places in the house not to mention Starbucks, McD's, airport etc...) Keep in mind also I will be getting an airport extreme base station so will be running N (at least at home).
