Do you guys come up with funky names for your devices on the Google Play Store?

Mine is pretty simple, I just named my devices "phone" and "tablet". I was thinking of coming up with something else a bit more funky and fun but haven't yet.

  • Using your browser, go to https://play.google.com
  • Click on the Settings icon at upper right and choose My Orders & Settings.
  • Click on the Settings tab.
  • Uncheck the devices you don't want to see as choices when downloading.
(You can't seem to actually delete them, but you can hide them.)

and it is not like it really matters if they are there or not. How often do you actually look at it. It is kinda cool to track your history.

You can also go to your Google Dashboard...

https://www.google.com/dashboard/‎

Sign in, and you can not only control all your Google settings, but under the Android section you can see the last time your devices talked to Google, and what apps are backing info up to the Google cloud.

Anyone's who has a Google account should always check out their Dashboard at least once, so you not only know what's being stored, but to control or delete anything you don't want stored. (I wish Apple had something like this.)

It's also handy to edit your ad profile and remove categories you're no longer interested in. The example I keep giving is when I was looking for a new car and even after I got one, the ads kept showing up because of my searches. So I went into my Dashboard and removed "new cars" as an ad profile item for me.
