(don't laugh--they are fun and relaxing for a couple hours!)
Has anybody played any of the ND games from Steam? I have two (one I bought to use on a Windows laptop a year or so ago and one I got during summer sale). Neither one will load on my macbook at all. They install, then nothing happens. One of them doesn't even install with a proper app icon. This is a new macbook and the specs are pretty far above the minimums.
Her Interactive replied saying they can't/don't support Steam and suggested that people don't buy from them. (then why do they sell there?!

Steam will not reply to my open support ticket (it has been over two weeks and one week since I updated with a copy of the HE support email telling me that Steam is responsible for this issue).
I have one old one from the mac app store and that one works great, so I'm sure it isn't a Mountain Lion issue.
I'm only out $3 with this game, but all of my Civ games are on Steam and I'm about to buy the new expansion, but this is making me seriously rethink things. Is Steam always this useless with support?
