hi

i went to the store yesterday, too crowed to spend time on the new nano

but from what i could see, it seems to me that the screen has gained a better scratch proof treatment compared to previous generations

can someone confirm ?

thanks

Yes, it does seem to be scratch 'resistant' not scratch 'proof' much like the iPhone screen.

I had mine since last week and it seems to have been treated with oleophobic goodness too.

glad to hear that

of course, i'll take care of it, but just wanna make sure it will be more resistant than the previous gen

yeah and the security guard will also use the knife with my head too :D

i finally got my ipod

i love it

i will not test the scratch proofing but definitely it seems more resistant than previous gen

I doubt that. That would be a "feature" Apple would've touted.

Small Stuff

This nano is very small. It would seem very hard to break or crack the screen like the iPod touch. I imagine the same with scratching the device.

i would definitely not do that

it's really ugly on a such a beautiful device

I think the point would be that perfect optical clarity is not as essential as it is on a more visual device like the iPhone / Touch; Decently trimmed, I guess there would be no disadvantage to the looks.
