So im about to get the new nano and i have a couple of questions.

1. How is your battery life when in stand by mode (sleep mode)?

2. How long can your battery last after continuously playing music?

3. Do you use it as an iWatch-type thing, cliped on to something or just in your pockets? If you use it as a watch and listen to music on it, do you use wired headphones and find it uncomfortable? :p

4. When you play a playlist, can you choose how long to play that playlist and then set it to stop? Also can this work in the playlist's shuffle mode?

5. And just out of curiosity, how many people have you seen with it?

Thanks :)

1. Greet for me. I just keep mine plugged into the car stereo and keep it shuffling a playlist. I just turn it off when I get out. It lasts me about a week or two for my probably 8-9 hours of driving per week.

2. While continuously playing? I'm not sure but it doesn't drain the battery too much while playing music. It's also a good idea to turn the screen down to about a quarter brightness. I had to turn the brightness down because it was so bright out of the box.

3. Not really. I use it in the car, at school, around the house, or working out. It stays clipped on well most of the time. I just used the wired headphone all the time. I don't think there's any built in bluetooth for headphones either.

4. I don't think you can do either one. If you want it to shut off after a set time you need an iPod touch or iPhone.

5. There's a kid at my school with a red one. I like the red one but I chose the charcoal(?) one because it blends in with my car interior better. I haven't seen any other people with them yet but after Christmas I'm sure a lot of people will have them.

thanks for the reply and as for question 4, if you cant do that, can the nano stop playing music after a playlist is done?

And also, you can turn if off? I thought the new nanos couldnt and could only be put in sleep mode or whatever. But either way, thats pretty good battery life:D

Ya, you can set it to only go through the playlist once.

When you hit the power button it just sleeps but I think after like 24 hours of being on standby it will 'shut down'. I've left it off for a while before and when I went to turn it on it showed the apple logo to power up. Wither way the sleep mode doesn't drain battery too much.

Just a side not but it works well in the cold too. I've left it in my car when it was 5 degrees out and when I got in it started playing music fine.:D
