Hello to all,

i've plugged in a Nano 3G to a universal dock. If i'm playing a song, i can play/pause, skip forward/back, and turn volume up/down. However, the Menu button does NOTHING.

If i'm in an iPod menu of some sort (ie. displaying all Artists), the ONLY button that works is the play/pause button, and when it's pressed, it immediately starts playing ALL ARTISTS.

So basically, the Menu button on the remote never works, and the rest of the buttons really only work if i'm on the "Now Playing" screen. Is this normal?

By the way, we've tested this with two docks and two remotes.

That is unfortunately the correct behavior.

The Menu button is Front Row-capable Macs and nothing else.

if you prefer it then you can get a dock with a special remote that allows you to view your library on the remote and chose songs that way, or if you like modding things you can find the how to guide on modding an older ipod to use as a universal remote and do it that way.
