iPod Nano FM tuner

How is the reception quality? Thinking of buying one but the fm tuner is a major factor. Thanks

Just to clarify - we are talking about the 5th generation. The radio seems to work pretty well in my experience. The ear buds are the antennae, which makes it longer than most these days.

Since the earbuds are the antenna, I wonder what kind of signal I'd get if it was docked? That's the main reason I want it.

You'll probably find you still need the headphones plugged in to use the tuner. Doesn't stop audio out of the dock connector, but the wire will still be needed.

I guess this means an actual dock would be problematic on the latest model for this purpose.

I have a 5th gen Nano. I was on a flight from Edmonton-Toronto @ 35,000 ft over Winnipeg I could listen to FM Stations quite clearly. Periodically I would have to move the Nano to improve reception,but for my money it does a fantastic job as far as reception goes. YMMV.
