iPod Nano Watch - can you ALWAYS have the display on?

So, totally accepting the fact that I'm not only an Apple nerd, but a geek in general, I find myself wanting a nano watch.

Not only for the time checking, but also as a simple light to have around, and media storage.

Before I take the plunge, I have a few questions.

First, can the display ALWAYS be on, or will I have to use the sleep/wake button to check the time? This probably isn't a total deal breaker, but it's close, as I'd prefer it always on.

If it is always on, how long will the battery last?

Can it be used as flash storage like an iPod shuffle? Having 8 or 16GB of flash storage on my wrist could definitely come in handy.

I'd appreciate any opinions from people that are using them as watches and how they like them.

Unfortunately no. I wanted to use the Nano in my car but you have to keep hitting the button to see the display. Perhaps they can change this in a software update.

To be honest I wouldn't want the lcd screen on all the time it would kill the battery. And really how lazy are re we that we can't push one button to see the time....

Wished that Apple would make it possible to CHOOSE for ourselves to keep the display on or not. I prefer it on, wouldn't mind plugging it in for a charge at night.

It does save battery, and thats a good thing (unless you want to kill your battery)

It would also probably help if the capacitive touch sensor was disabled. As that uses a fair amount of power. (it could be re-enabled by pressing the power button)

I kinda hope Apple will put a transflective LCD or something similar in the next generation Nano. Then it could stay on in a reflective mode using hardly any power at all.
