Lacie's won't die easily as their latest HD's now will it? :(

Adding on to the original post, can anybody recommend an enclosure NAS so that I can drop my own HD inside and is Mac and Window compatible (I found too many NAS's that use the ext2/ext3 file format which limits things on the Mac-side).

In the UK it's £133 (w/o any drive) at Scan, other than that, just google it. I'm giving it some serious thought for central, backupable (yes it's a word :p) storage. Since you can not only have the drive in the unit online, but you can also have 2 or 3 additional USB drives plugged in to it online. You can also backup from the drive in the unit to one of the externals plugged in via USB with the click of a button.
