Native alternative to WireShark

Hi,
I remember seeing a post about a native polished alternative to WireShark but I can’t find the name of the app anymore.

Anyone know the name of such an app?

I'd be interested as well, however if you are in any way interested in this stuff wireshark is definitely the go to because it is so far ahead of even anything else on windows.

I know its not entirely native, but it runs well enough and the protocol decode is just so far ahead of any alternatives.

I second the recommendation of @throAU : whilst it lacks native styling, you'll find none better (IMHO) and the price is definitely right.

In addition functionality between the Mac and Windows versions is all but identical (where it matters) and having the same UI is, in this case, a blessing rather than a curse.

What is it about Wireshark that you don't like? Personally it's been my go-to packet tracing tool since its "Ethereal" days...

Had a quick look at the above alternatives, if you need something simple (e.g., "is this machine seeing my traffic hit it at all?") then maybe they will suffice.

However none of them seem to have the same level of support for packet decode as Wireshark - which can split out say a TCP session and give you the full conversation with protocol decode.

Sure, its a bit ugly, but try not to let that put you off, plus it is cross platform and the de-facto industry standard...

I'm a network nerd and pretty much any educational material, etc. in this space will also be using Wireshark. As above, it's been the go-to for network people since the ethereal days (like 20+ years ago).
