I wonder if Apple could release the native clock app via iTunes as a free app? I would think so, because I really need it on my iPad to run in the background. Don't want to wait until fall for 4.0, and use a third party app when the one on the iPhone is pretty much perfect.

You can design it yourself :D

You know Apple doesnt develop every app themselves!?

And why not...
Currently, Apple only allows its native App's to run in the background, not 3rd party App's.
Have you been living under a rock?

I really miss the Clock App as well.
Bring it back Apple please!

When your sleeping, your most likely not using the iPad, so you can run a alarm program while its plugged in. I know your point is that you don't want to do that, under the circumstances that is what you have to do.

...but you couldn't let the iPad sleep because as soon as it did the clock would stop.
