Man it sure is taking a long time for apple to approve 1.4 for the U.S.

Highly sophisticated, complex, and full featured navigation app takes awhile to review/approve ...

... maybe the reviewer is out having fun w/ it and got distracted from their job!?!

Waiting patiently, for the most part :D:D

I was wondering the same thing... Every morning i fire up the appstore on my iphone to see if navigon has a update but no...no updates... Alli get is updates for other apps like ebay flixter and a game of golf lol come on apple give us our damn app already!!

its retarded how bad 1.3 is.

1.3 is a wonderful application. Earlier this week I was in another state and took a wrong turn connecting between towns. I was on a two lane road in the middle of nowhere and obviously lost. It was raining hard and foggy. I didn't think I would be able to get a GPS lock through the thick clouds but when I turned Navigon on it got an immediate lock and kept one as it guided me to my destination. I simply love it and really like its routing preferences, compared to some of the others that I tried. I do wish it had a couple of other features, but given the manner they have continually added features I have no doubt they will keep improving it.

Your posts regarding Navigon carry zero weight. You clearly have vendetta against them.

I have tried all the Navigation products for the iPhone and Navigon is the best as far as I am concerned.

No, if you looked at my original review I rated their product 7.5/10, unfortunately it's gotten worse as they've added features. The 3G is not equipped to handle their updates/feature sets because of the processing overload on the original 3G.

I tend to agree here. Don't get me wrong, I love the Navigon product, but it's performance on a 3G is pitiful. I am seriously hoping that with the latest updates, they somehow increase performance.

I really don't understand how the latest version of Tomtom, runs as well\fast as just about anything on my iPhone, and Navigon reacts to button presses as if they are stuck in molasses. Even with that said, I prefer it. But I may switch 100% to Tomtom if the next update doesn't improve performance.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7D11 Safari/528.16)

It's certainly about time Apple starts with an approved developer list where updates are instantly added to the store. If the App is against developer terms they'll have two weeks to rectify it. If they abuse trust they'll be banned from submitting Apps. Simple!

I agree with this. The big name companies should get automatic update approval. New apps would still need reviews. If the large companies get caught breaking any rule they will loose this privilege.
