NAVIGON has updated its suite of navigation apps to 1.8.0 (USA link).
While I find the UI to be still a mess, it does have some niceties:
I would've preferred augmented reality driving view instead (map and route info overlaid onto augmented image) but oh well. At least it's a free feature.
The app is currently on sale ($15 off the USA version, for instance), as well as traffic in-app purchase ($14.99 instead of $19.99).
While I find the UI to be still a mess, it does have some niceties:
- Updated map data
- Traffic check: shows the traffic summary (requires traffic live in-app) prior to departure
- Reality Scan: gimmicky augmented reality for nearby points of interest (similar to Yelp monocle)
- Radar Info US: alerts from 4,000 speed and red-light camera locations in the US ($4.99 in-app)
