Uhh I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I've seen it on my ATV for a while now.

NBA and MLB have been available on the Apple TV for a while now. I wouldn't count on watching the NBA Finals on the Apple TV though because I am sure they are all blackout.

Yeah, NBA has been on the AppleTV 2 for a while. It's been really nice watching the highlights and recaps of all the playoff and finals games. That part of it is free. I will probably pick up the subscription next season.
