Wish it had video

Being that i paid what i consider a high price for league pass broadband i was hoping this would have video oh well. The features that are available now are good the video clips and such. I will try the audio tonight and see how good it is.

I bought it. Very excited to try it out. It would be great if it gives you the option to play the stream in the background but I'm not holding my breath.

The lack of video doesn't really bother me. MLB was worth 9.99 to me before they had video so this isn't any different.

There are video highlights and lots of stats and info...looks good so far.

Worth it?

Hey,

Being that it is 10 bucks and I'm nearly poor, I must consider long and hard of I am going to buy it or stick out the season with the lite version. One of my biggest questions is "is the audio streaming free or does it charge per game?" The app description suggests it's free but since Apple doesn't have any kind of demo or return policy you can never be too safe.

Also I am going to follow the Dallas game tonight with the free version to see if it's good enough for my needs. Luckily my team (Spurs) don't play until tomorrow. If any of you who have perchaced the app use it tonight let me know what experiences you've had.

Thanks

I'm pretty sure the audio is free.
According to the comments on iTunes there was a $39.99 League Pass version with streaming video, but it was removed.

Did you buy it? That is what I was confused about because the NBA calls their both their Internet audio and video streaming "league pass"

I believe NBA Audio League pass was free last year (for streaming to a computer), so I don't see why they would charge for audio on the the iPhone. Plus, the description seems to make it clear that it is included in the purchase price.

I know but I wanted to be sure before I shelled out $10. Did you buy it.

And as for the clearly stating in the description, you clearly know nothing about marketing.

The audio is included in the full version app. It's not ambiguous.

I'm listening to the Boston/Cleveland game now. The Boston audio feed wasn't even the right station and now isn't working at all. The quality of the Cleveland feed is really bad and keeps dropping for a split second. It's not my signal; I'm on wifi with a full signal. The audio is also far too quiet.

Off to a really bad start.

$10 for this thing? *cough* No thanks.

If I need real time score. I'll just follow someone on Twitter. If I want to watch a re-run or highlight. I'll just go to youtube. I can do all this on the iPhone. or I can just tune in to Last.fm or a radio apps.

So the NBA has an app that is similar to MLB At Bat, but no streaming video only audio.

Has anybody brought it yet? Someone in the comments mentions a League Pass streaming option… I don't see this anywhere...

I am trying the LITE version now and it does have real-time scoring. And, I assume the stats are also real-time as well.

Since I am not a huge NBA fan that I once used to be, I will save $10 and be content with the lite version.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 3GS: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7D11 Safari/528.16)

Really wish the NHL would do something like this.

I'd consider buying this for the streaming audio alone, but it seems initial reports are that it's very buggy. I'll wait until that improves before giving them my money.

Is there any schedule that shows which games will be available? This looks sweet but I don't want to buy this if a good chunk of my team's games won't be shown.

There is an email address you can write to to complain about the audio issues. I would urge everyone complaining about the low volume and audio drop out to write and let them know so it gets fixed.

The address is NBAGTSupport@turner.com
