I just purchased the AV Composite Cables from the Apple Store to use TV Out with my iPhone 3GS. I have the NBA Leagues Pass Mobile app on my iPhone and I would like to be able to watch the games on my TV. My problem is when the iPhone is connected to the TV and I hit play on one of the games, the only thing the TV plays is audio, there's no video. My iPhone is jailbroken and I have "Landscape TV Out" installed. So, how do I use it to make both the audio and video from the League Pass app play on the TV?

I think your are out of luck on that. I'm pretty sure the iPhone only outputs video on Ipod Movies. I don't think it even works on youtube videos.

Try Landscape TV Out in Cydia, last I knew free. It extends the TV out to some additional apps. There is an old thread on it here.

It works on some apps for me.

I have tried Landscape TV Out. When I use it, the size and location of the video on the screen is messed up. Should I just play around with the settings until I can get the screen resolution/location to match my TV?

I can't get "TV OUT" to work correctly with my LCD TV for NBA League Pass.

I get the audio and the graphics, but no video.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

OK, I got NBA League Pass output to work on my 42" LCD TV

I'm using the "TV Out" app.

Go into your phone settings and find the settings for "TV Out" and turn the "Hierarchy" number to 2 or 3

Setting number 3 is working for me, although I haven't tried setting number 2 yet.

If you don't get a picture, rotate the phone from Portrait to Landscape, and/or vice-versa and the video should appear on your TV

I'll try to do a more thorough write up later, but I'm watching the Lakers game right now and don't want to mess with the settings, but give the above settings a try.

BTW, the picture quality suffers some on the bigger screen, but it is watchable.

I have the split screen going along with the Winter Olympics.

OK, here is how I got it to work for me:

Pre-Requisite: Install "Landscape TV Out" from Cydia

1) Select "Settings"
2) Scroll down to "TV Out" and select it.
3) Enable TV Out
4) Disable Touch Marker
5) Disable Force TV Out
6) Select "TV Out Compat Mode"
7) Set TV Out Layer to "3"
8) Select "Mode" and set to "Layer count greater or equal"
9) Exit Settings and connect Component Cable
10) Launch "NBA League Pass" and select the game of your choice and it should appear on your TV screen.
11) Enjoy your game!

OK, I figured out the settings for NBA League Pass.

Can anyone figure out Madden Football?

Thanks.
