Nearly 4 months since 3.0 release and still...

No fix for the custom keyboards? Has anybody heard anything about it? I am really missing my Blackberry Storm keyboard

Are they even trying to get it back? And people please don't say it's because of the landscape because we used to have landscape typing before on many apps from the AppStore and in Safari and it was working fine. It can't be much different since Apple only added it to 3 new apps (SMS,Mail,Notes).

I say we start to email somebody about it so they know the community is really wanting it back or donate to someone. I have no idea if it's to Saurik or whoever, I just want it back!!!

As I understand it, ever since 3.0 firmware enabled across the board landscape keyboards, Winterboard needs to be "fixed" to accomodate landscape keyboard views, therefore no themes work.

I understand that but it's not as if we never had landscape before. We had it for Safari and nearly all the other apps in the Appstore. It worked for all my apps when I used a landscape keyboard so I still don't understand what could be the hold up for just SMS,Mail and Notes if it was working perfectely in Safari and it is the same exact keyboard.

Yea, that is a little odd... I'm pretty sure something a little more significant was changed with it though. If you look at the site for iKeyEx I think the developer cites several changes that inhibit him as well (it's an app for custom keyboards, not just themes though).
