Hi all,

I need to by a case and headphones for my 13 inch macbook. What is considered the best?

Shure e4c's are very good if you can still find them, and the B&Os work very well for exercising as they stay on and yet are far from bulky.

As for a case, do you want a soft sleeve, a hard shell or a bag?

I've tried many headphones (under $400) and I think Sennheiser's PX100 is the bast damn value headphones you can get. They are very affordable, but most importantly, they sound awesome! :D I highly recommend them.

As for cases, they're a hassel imo. I just use a protective film on my ipods/laptops and they stay in great shape! :D

Or you could save some money and buy the e2c's that sound great as well (Circuit City seems to have http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Head...38+40001457/link/ref/rpem/ccd/categorylist.do). If you have a Discovery Channel Store (they're all closing so be quick about it) nearby, check there. I know the one nearest my house has had a pair of e2c's on sale for $49.99 (50% off) I've got to go by and see if they've been discounted even more.

If you can't find the Shures, then look at the Sony Fontopia Headphones (either these or these).

EDIT: Of course, depending on where you live all this may be moot. :)

I have the E4's (pro edition) that I got new for $188. They have had a few problems, but I honestly have never heard anything sound so nice! Plus I love how they have a two year warranty yet the only way they can track two years from your original (supposed) purchase. The number stamped on the audio jack is the date they were made, so you really have two years from then. I sent mine in last year and got a brand new package back, with new headphones made around June of '06 which means if I have a problem before June '08 I can get another repair, or new pair because that seems to be their idea of fixing things (two other guys at work have both sent theirs in and had them replaced, one guy is on his third pair).

So, granted they may have a problem or two, overall I have been VERY satisfied.
