Can anyone suggest an iPod dock (with am/fm clock radio capability) to buy that comes with an earphone jack? I looked at 30 different docks and none had an earphone jack. I currently have an am/fm clock radio that allows me to listen to music in bed at night and not disturb my husband. I want the same capability with an ipod, am/fm dock station.

A salesman told me that I could simply plug my earphones into the out jack on the ipod docking station and listen privately. I tried that on my son's iHome and it didn't work.

Any suggestions?

I have the JBL onstage 3 which you can plug headphones in. It doesn't have radio though but does have an audio in if you have a radio with an output?

I think the iHome unit does, but I'm not sure. I bought a am/fm clock radio at Bed, Bath & Beyond for about $70 (had a 20% coupon) that may do it. I know it has an input.

Just search around at big electronics places.

I have a TEAC SRL-Xi-B unit. It is a little old, but it has what you need: ipod dock, AM, FM, alarm clock and a audio out jack that when used, mutes the speakers of the unit. It also has an S-video out port to connect to a TV to watch the your ipod's video.

I got a memorex Mi4004 at Target in Kissemme FL whilst on holiday march '07. it has dual alarms AM/FM radio, iPod dock, dimmable backlit display, quite good speakers, a line in jack port and a headphone port and I think it was arround $60-70 at the time.
