Ok so I'm searching to see if I can jailbreak my iPhone. I'm running the 8.3 beta currently. When I do a Google search I can't get a straight answer. If I can't is there any place I can get an older copy of firmware that is jailbreak-able?

There is currently no jb for 8.3 , no way you can downgrade and jailbreak unless you have an iphone 4 with saved blobs. You just have to wait for a new jailbreak to be released for your current os

Darn. Isn't there some place still has all the Legacy iOS seeds?

cool thanks. Not sure though if I should jailbreak cause I do plan on getting the apple watch when it comes out. Unless does anyone know if I can get one of the Samsung watches to work fully with an iPhone if it's jailbroken?

Understand that just because someone provided you with a link to IPSWs, it doesn't mean you can downgrade and jailbreak.

You can only downgrade if Apple is still signing a particular version of iOS. The last version jailbreakable was 8.1.2 and Apple is no longer signing it.

As said above, unless you have an iPhone 4 with saved blobs you cannot downgrade.

I thought as long as you had the IPSW it was possible to downgrade and then just prompt you to get the update to the latest version.

No. If it were that simple I would be back on iOS 6.1 on my iPhone 5 right now - and jailbroken. Instead, I'm stuck on 8.1.3 stock.

With iOS 6 and below, if you had complete blobs and the IPSW you could do this. After iOS 6 Apple stopped using blobs altogether.

So, unless you have an iPhone 4 with blobs you cannot downgrade. Apple is not signing anything before 8.2 anymore.

Option+click inside iTunes to restore to a previous IPSW will only yield an error. If you use Tiny Unmbrella to redirect your hosts file you will still get an error.

Downgrading is no longer possible.

Ok thanks. Guess I'm SOL then. At this point if they haven't been able to crack 8.1.3 I doubt we'll see anything else get cracked.

Well, purportedly they have something going for 8.2 and as there are minimal changes with 8.2 a jailbreak most likely would also work for 8.1.3.

The rumor I've heard is that they intend to release something around the 27th at some security conference.

That rumor was found using Google and as with all rumors it may or may not be true.

If true, when released, I will be updating to 8.2 (assuming 8.1.3 isn't included in the jailbreak) and then jailbreaking.
