Okay I got a ipod touch for my birthday in june...well ever since I did the stupid jail brake thing, my computer doesnt allow me to do anything with my ipod. When i plug it in, it says "this ipod cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device service is not started"....i have no idea what this is. Can someone help me plzz:(

Occasionaly the jailbreak can mess things up. You need to restore you ipod. If its not being recognized in itunes you need to put the device into recovery mode. To put into recovery mode, hold down the home and sleep button for 20-25 seconds (the shut down screen will appear but keep holding down the two buttons) When the apple appears, let go of the sleep button. It will then ask you to connect your ipod to itunes. Plug your ipod in and your set

i was on another website tryna see what i can find and this is what i saw

The way I got it to work again is to:

1. Right click "My Computer"
2. Left click "Manage"
3. Double click "Services and Applications"
4. Double click "Services"
5. Locate and Double click "Apple Mobile Device"
6. Change Startup type from "disabled" to "automatic"
7. Click apply, then OK
8. Click "Start" the service
9. Locate and Double click "iPod Service"
10. Change Startup type from "disabled" to "automatic"
11. Click apply, then OK
12. Click "Start" the service

but it didnt work for mee...so imma try restoring
