Okay, so I took the plunge and installed Win 7 on my UMBP through Bootcamp, wanted to see what all the hullaballoo was about. Installation went smooth, all good. Problem is, I haven't spent a lot of time with Vista, and that was almost a year ago, and I need some help here, cause there's a few things driving me batty.
1. How do I know I got the right version? I thought I made sure I downloaded the release candidate, but the version I have says in a dialogue at the bottom right hand of the screen "Windows 7. Evaluation copy, Build 7100". Is that right?
2. Trackpad. Where do I adjust settings on the trackpad, slow it dooooowwwwwwnnnnn. This things so jittery it's hard to use.
3. Trackpad "Tap to Click". Does this work on the Windows side? If so, how do you turn it on? Really missing this.
4. Aero Interface. Is this not turned on by default? I've heard a lot about it and how nice it was, and the Vista installs I worked on were very pretty, but what I have now doesn't look a lot different than XP. Is it on, where do I turn it on?
5. Why is my MBP suddenly so warm? Has anyone has experienced this? It's not uncomfortable, but it's noticeable.
Thanks, your help is much appreciated.
