Need a logo what software for beginner or is there anyone out there to create?

I really need a logo for my non profit and am having trouble deciding what software especially since I am a beginner, additionally I dont was to spend thousands for a program I will use once, any ideas.

You could also just pay to have a logo designed that would probably look better than what you could make with the program mentioned above, you being a beginner and all.
