I jail broke the 3gs and also applied the UNLOCK option for the phone to be used with other gsm carrier.

I want to restore now so the buyer can have a clean iphone.
Will I loose the unlock that I just did?

Thanks in advance!

Unless you have your files on record with Cydia, if you don't know what that means you don't and you can't any longer, you can't restore and JB/unlock your phone any more. The only restore you can do is to 3.1 and there is no JB or unlock for that.

Yes, the files are on cydia. And I would be restoring to 3.0. Than I will be jbreaking again to unlock the phone. Will this be possible?

I would say yes since I am not going to 3.1, just back to 3.0 which I have the iPhone2,1_3.0_7A341_Restore to retore back to.

So am I right, I will be okay? My goal is to set the phone back to 3.0 than jbreak than unlock the phone.

Thanks guys.

Then you should be fine, but ask around first.

From what I've gathered, no. You will not be okay. The only way you can restore is through iTunes and iTunes is no longer signing anything but 3.1 so you can't restore back to 3.0. If you restore you'll be stuck at 3.1 with no jailbreak and no unlock until DevTeam or somebody else figures it out, which could be never.

I could be wrong but I don't think I am.

DONT RESTORE! Itunes will force you to upgrade to 3.1 and you will lose the ability to jailbreak/unlock.
